Hello~~ This is Jejung Nursing Hospital!
The New Year has come, and Lunar New Year is already here!
So, our hospital held a Lunar New Year event on 1/20 (Fri).
In the morning, we held a ceremony to present gold turtle ceramics as a symbol of longevity to patients aged 100 and over, and performed a bowing event,
In the afternoon, one team from each floor gathered and played Yutnori in the 8th-floor lounge.
There are two people who are over 100 years old!
Everyone was on the 7th floor, and a total of four people, including the head nurse on the 7th floor, conducted the bowing ceremony.
Thank you for joining us, staff!!
It’s not actually made of real gold, but it’s a pretty turtle ceramic painted gold.
Our seniors are over 100 years old, yet they still smile brightly and are in good health!
Please keep showing that smile for a long, long time!!
In the afternoon, we played Yutnori by team.
Everyone gathered closely together like this, and we got to play Yutnori!
They decided the order by playing rock-paper-scissors!
From now on, the thrilling competition begins...!!
1st prize - dried persimmon set, 2nd prize - sikhye set, 3rd prize - nut set, 4th prize - body lotion, 5th and 6th prizes (participation prize) - hand cream
Six teams competed for prizes like this.
It is a scene of dynamically throwing yut.
The caregivers also cheered enthusiastically while caring for the patients.
A truly festive holiday atmosphere unfolded!
I also shouted hard and helped move the game along...!
The competition grew more heated as they jostled back and forth.
I think this was the first time I’ve ever had so much fun while hosting a Yutnori game.
Everyone was feeling regretful and relieved, and the yutnori game was slowly nearing its end.
Especially our Nursing Director Lee Min-hyung, the key contributor to the yutnori game! He even knelt down to diligently pass the thrown yut sticks to the patients.
Every time that happened, I was so grateful, yet so sorry...
Sob sob, next time I’ll work even harder! Thank you~~!
The yutnori game, which was long yet short, has come to an end.
Although rankings were divided from 1st to 6th place, thanks to everyone participating joyfully with one heart and one mind,
The ranking didn’t matter. It was just that the prizes.... were left over, right?
4th Place - Mr. Kim O-woong, Room 602
4th place!!! It came out in room 602. Although it was disappointing to get 4th place, our Mr. Kim O-woong, who never let go of the yut until the very end!
We gave out body lotion as a gift.
3rd Place - Room 809, Ms. Choi O-ok
Ms. Choi O-ok, who took third place! She always smiled and, with a “Yeocha!” tossed the yut for us.
From last place to third place, your ranking shot up~
You received a nut set, the third-place prize.
2nd place - Room 808, Ms. Yeom O-gyeong
This is Mr./Ms. Yeom O-gyeong, who was sadly pushed down to second place after running in first place.
The caregiver was very sorry, but said even second place was fine and even danced.
As expected, the mascot of the 8th floor!!! We gave away a sikhye set~~
Finally, the long-awaited 1st place....!!
Last year during the Chuseok event yutnori, you placed 3rd, but this time you dramatically became 1st! This is Mr. Jeon O-nam from Room 411!!
1st place - Mr. Jeon O-nam in room 411
Last year, you were very disappointed and ended up in third place, but this time you managed to take first place~
The caregiver was also very happy, and the patient smiled as well!
The 2023 Lunar New Year event has been concluded.
Unlike last year’s Chuseok event, there were people who actively participated, so it could become such a happy holiday event.
Did you all have a good Lunar New Year holiday? In this time when family bonds are fading and it is becoming more of an individual culture, how are you spending it?
These days, a warm meal and a kind word with family are becoming all the more precious. We bring you heartwarming news.
Since the last day of the holiday, the strongest cold wave has been raging.
We hope everyone stays warm through the cold and takes good care of your health!!
