Hello! This is Jejung Nursing Hospital. 



To celebrate Chuseok 2022, our hospital held a small Chuseok event.

Due to COVID-19, many people were unable to attend, but patients and staff attended together.

We briefly talked about the meaning of Chuseok and what kinds of games were played, then immediately moved on to the explanation! 

We explained the rules of the ojami game and yutnori to the participants. 



What is the Ojami game?

In the Gyeonggi-do Yangju area, this is a game that can be played in various ways using bean bags, such as bursting a gourd, tossing it into a circle, and putting it into a basket.

 

It’s a simple game where you hold a bean bag and throw it, and it’s said to be a game often played in nursing homes and long-term care hospitals!

Finally, we began the main game, Yutnori. Unexpectedly, everyone participated with great enthusiasm and did very well.

In the middle, the person who was in first place kept getting caught and ended up in last place, or the person in last place rolled yut and mo and caught up in one go, so

Then, the combined results of the Ojaemi game + Yutnori are...... drumroll drumroll drumroll drumroll drumroll drumroll 

Third place was Mr./Ms. Jeon oo on the 4th floor! The prize was body lotion :) 

The second prize winner was Mr./Ms. Hong oo from the 8th floor! Thank you for carrying the heavy sikhye set!!!ㅠㅠ

During the Ojaemi game, you only got 5 out of 10 and came in last, but while playing Yutnori, you came in first, so the score was reversed and

1등을 하셨습니다!

First prize is a Chuseok snack! A set of traditional Korean sweets :)

 

This modest Chuseok event has come to an end.

여러분들은 추석때 무엇을 하셨나요? 가족들과 함께 시간을 보내신 분들도 있고 그러지 못한 분도 계실겁니다.

It is said that during such major holidays, the time when the whole family gathers together to eat and share affection is truly important in modern times.

I, who also carried out this event, was able to reflect on the meaning of Chuseok through this time and once again feel the joy of being together.
